“The first man,” who, having fenced off a plot of land, thought of saying, ‘This is mine,’ and found people simple enough to believe him was the real founder of civil society. How many crimes, wars, murders, how many miseries and horrors might the human race have been spared by the one who, upon pulling up the stakes or filling in the ditch, had shouted to his fellow men, ‘Beware of listening to this impostor; you are lost, if you forget that the fruits of the earth belong to all and that the earth belongs to no one.”
JEAN-JACQUES ROUSSEAU (1712–1778)
The ruling minority, a conglomerate of psychopathic despots consisting of the heads of major corporations, government officials and the judiciary hold us in slavish servitude and utter subjugation by assigning to themselves ‘Rights’ to which they have no right whatsoever, under the guise of pseudo-democracy and rule of law, the right to private ownership of that which belongs to all and is require for our very subsistence, that which comes from the very earth itself.
The minerals, arable land, and machinery needed to render these materials fit to sustain our existence, our very lives.
The entire set up of government, its courts, jails, institutions of coercion and armed thugs has one function only, to protect the seizure of private property by the few to the detriment of the vast majority of the inhabitants of the planet.
This psychopathic conglomerate of despots, no better than Caligula, Nero, Stalin or Hitler treat us as expendable/replaceable cogs in a machine, whose only purpose is the maintenance of their obscene debauched rule.
As they wallow in unearned privileges they have the temerity to tell us, who provide these privileges by the sweat of our toil, that we have no entitlement to a decent livelihood, that our life of hand-to-mouth subsistence is one we must endure, as they prepare once again to send us to battles to the death, battles in which countless millions have died with whom we have no quarrel, and who share our deplorable existence to secure for you more of what you have no right to, the resources held within other nation states as private property to feed your insatiable gluttoney. Every last one of you are war criminals that belong behind bars.
Workers have no right to the produce that we work to harvest and construct with their machinery, it remains the private property of the capitalist. Instead we are issues with vouchers (money) so we can purchase a pittance of that which we have produced from the enormous stockpiles these reprobates claim as their right.
This pittance of an allowance barely feeds us and our loved ones, much less purchase a roof over our heads….and deliberately so. We are therefore granted vouchers in advance that we get from the banks that are used to enslave us, chaining us to their machines as exploited wage slaves for life. Debt is a call on our future labor, and is the chain that binds us to their machinery
The international competition between hostile rival states keeps a downward pressure on wages, until the have dimished to the point where we can no longer purchase what we produce. This triggers a sharp down turn and a cycle of layoffs followed by wage cuts followed by layoffs is set in motion…. and the onset of massive amounts of debt defaults. Their system breaks down, and it is our homes that we are working to pay off that are taken because the will not grant us employment and withold that which we need to sustain ourselves.
Jobless and hungry and having no access to that which we need to feed ourselves, we are forced to take food without their miserable vouchers giving us their” permission’ to live. If we are caught in said activity they drag us before the courts that we build and pay for, before a magistrate who depends upon our labor for his priveleges, and are publicly derided and stigmatised as criminals who have no respect for Law or for common decency, and are looking for a free ride and that we should be ashamed of our unconscionable anti-social behaviour for life. And when we scream at the vile injustice inflicted upon us, we are scolded as uneducated barbarians.
And as their system of exploitation reaches crisis point because they have taken all we have to give, and there is no more to take, and more of us fall by the wayside and become nuisances, they instruct their thugs, state trained hooligans to beat us into submission, while they legislate to divide and weaken us lest we awaken and challenge their filthy despotic rule. They build more and more holding facilities where they say our rehabilitation must take place that we may be allowed to rejoin their ‘civilized’ society, and then they structure these holding facilities so that they become profit-creating centres, the profit being created from human misery, incarceration and degradation. Their society (which they call “civil”) indoctrinates us from infancy with their greed, hatred and misanthropy, and drags us kicking and screaming into a new Dark Age. We want no more of it. No more machine men, with machine hearts and machine minds. It is we the workers who can no longer support these intolerable parasites sucking the life from our very bodies.
When the earth once again belongs to all and is treated with care and respect, as it was by those who preceded the barbarians and their nonsensical notions of private property, and the miraculous bounty that provides, sustains and heals is once again loved and appreciated, the idiocy of the nation state and its race divides will vanish into thin air and be consigned to the history books, to be studied with bewilderment by those yet to come.
The economic anarchy of capitalist society as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of the evil. We see before us a huge community of producers the members of which are unceasingly striving to deprive each other of the fruits of their collective labor—not by force, but on the whole in faithful compliance with legally established rules. In this respect, it is important to realize that the means of production—that is to say, the entire productive capacity that is needed for producing consumer goods as well as additional capital goods—may legally be, and for the most part are, the private property of individuals.
Albert Einstein 1949
But this is not a solution: it is an aggravation of the difficulty. The proper aim is to try and reconstruct society on such a basis that poverty will be impossible. And the altruistic virtues have really prevented the carrying out of this aim. Just as the worst slave-owners were those who were kind to their slaves, and so prevented the horror of the system being realised by those who suffered from it, and understood by those who contemplated it, so, in the present state of things in England, the people who do most harm are the people who try to do most good; and at last we have had the spectacle of men who have really studied the problem and know the life – educated men who live in the East End – coming forward and imploring the community to restrain its altruistic impulses of charity, benevolence, and the like. They do so on the ground that such charity degrades and demoralises. They are perfectly right. Charity creates a multitude of sins.
There is also this to be said. It is immoral to use private property in order to alleviate the horrible evils that result from the institution of private property. It is both immoral and unfair.
